Material, movement, and slow construction.
No experience is required. Our workshops are designed to be accessible to beginners while still offering depth for those with some familiarity. Guidance is provided throughout, with space for individual exploration.
Each workshop focuses on foundational hand-building techniques, allowing you to create one or more functional or sculptural ceramic pieces. Emphasis is placed on form, texture, and intentional making rather than perfection.
Workshops typically run for several hours, allowing enough time to slow down, work with the material, and fully engage in the process without feeling rushed.
All clay, tools, and studio materials are provided. Firing and finishing of selected pieces is included unless otherwise noted in the workshop description.
Yes. Finished work will be fired after the in-person workshop. For all online workshops you will need to fire your finished piece, I recommend using https://www.kilnshare.com/.
Fired pieces are typically ready within a few weeks, depending on the studio the workshop is held in. You’ll be notified when your work is available for studio pickup or shipping if offered.
Wear comfortable clothing you don’t mind getting dusty. Clay washes out easily, but aprons are recommended. All tools are provided for in-person workshops—just bring curiosity and patience.
Due to limited space, workshop spots are non-refundable. If you’re unable to attend, you may transfer your spot to someone else with advance notice.
